St.moritz Summer Golf Fountain Pen, Solid 18k Gold

St. Moritz has come to symbolise all that a Swiss destination should be: genteel and refined, exclusive yet welcoming. So great is the impact that St Moritz has had on the global consciousness, since it first welcomed skiers nearly 150 years ago, that it has grown to be both cinematic and literary "shorthand" for luxurious getaways.
As far back as 1934, Hitchcock used it in a movie and, later, St. Moritz appears in James Bond's movies (Goldfinger, For your eyes only).
But St Moritz supports much more than skiing, golf and other leisure pursuits. Every year, this town welcomes the arts, celebrated with exhibitions, seminars, walks and other attractions.

Montegrappa created a series of pens honouring the Swiss resort of St Moritz, coinciding with the 2010 St Moritz Arts Masters, being one of the official sponsor.

St Moritz pens

The pens are made in celluloid, a material made from cotton fiber mixed with natural pigments and pearl, and decorated with sterling silver trims (or solid gold, for a more precious version).

To decorate the barrel, the Montegrappa designers chose three different posters that illustrate the historical myth of St Moritz; each image is hand painted by the artist Lorena Straffi.

Summer Golf

The third pen has cap and bottom in deep blue celluloid (and the St Moritz logo on the central band in blue lacquer too) and has been painted with the vintage poster that advertised the 18-hole Golf Club, in a summer landscape. 
An elegant lady is going to play, while her partner and the caddie are looking at her.
